The Private Press Collection: Finial Press

Doyle Moore established Finial Press in 1962 to promote contemporary poetry. The former head of the Graphic Design department and professor emeritus of the University of Illinois- Urbana Champaign, continues to work as a typographer, printer and binder for his private press. He will often collaborate with artist and designers if the book requires it. Northern Illinois University’s Private Press Collection houses a handful of books from this Illinois press.
