Private Press: Acorn Press
John and Jean Michael. Forest Park, Illinois.
John and Jean Michael founded Acorn Press in 1958. Hand-set type was used to print around three hundred copies of each press selection. The Acorn Press printed editions for the Caxton Club and for William Doan’s publishing house, and distributed its presswork privately for nearly a decade.
