The S. Orville and Adra Baker Library Endowment

Benefits the Rare Books and Special Collections Department. Special emphasis is placed on British drama.


The Sarah Marie Davis Memorial

Funds the acquisition of materials on physical education and sports


The William R. DuBois Memorial

Funds the acquisition of nineteenth century American literature with special emphasis on Walt Whitman.


Friends of the Library Logo

The Friends of NIU Libraries Endowment

Funds the acquisition of modern drama and literature of the western world

Funds the purchase of hardware, software, and other technology for the Cataloging and Automated Records Department


Horatio Alger, Jr.
The Horatio Alger Society Endowment

Funds the acquisition of Horatio Alger, Jr. books and related materials


The Mary Hickey Memorial

Funds the acquisition of materials on nature and outdoor education


The Gordon W. & Jeanne M. Huber Endowment

Funds the purchase of popular children's literature, with an emphasis on boys' and girls' series books. To donate, please visit the NIU Foundation website, and designate your gift in the memo field for the Gordon W. & Jeanne M. Huber Fund.

The Takashi Ikemoto Endowment

Funds the acquisition of materials on Japan, Buddhism, and Zen in particular

Funds the acquisition of materials for the social sciences and humanities


The Nancy Peterson Memorial

Funds the acquisition of children's literature


The Gordon E. and Virginia L. Rasmussen and Friends Music Library Endowment

Funds the acquisition of music scores and journals


The Peggy Rae Sapienza Endowment

Supports the growth, maintenance, and promotion of the science fiction and fantasy collections in Rare Books and Special Collections, including documenting SF/F Fandom. To donate, please visit the NIU Foundation website, and designate your gift in the memo field for the Peggy Rae Sapienza Fund.

Katherine Walker
The Katherine Walker Library Work Scholarship

Provides a scholarship supporting student library aides


The Russell & Betty Wood Library Endowment
