Friends of the NIU Libraries: Membership

Membership Benefits

Friends of the Library memberships are for one full year.  Benefits include:

  • Receive issues of Founders' Type, a newsletter for the Friends of NIU Libraries Online Issues
  • Attend Friends Programs and Receptions
  • Receive a 10% discount on merchandise at the following stores:
    -Ed Ripp Fine Art Books, Chicago
  • Receive a 15% discount on merchandise a the following stores:
    -Arcadia Discount Books, 203 Locust St, Dekalb
  • Opportunities to recommend future Friends' programs
  • Eligibility for interlibrary loan service
  • Extended checkout times for books
  • Membership fees are tax-deductible

NIU Faculty and Staff can have their membership dues deducted directly via payroll deduction by filling out this form and returning it with their membership form. We'll do the rest!

Student - $10
Individual - $35
Family - $50
Donor - $100
Benefactor/Corporate - $500
