2.09.00 -- ICCMCC Meeting at Aurora University
1. Announcements
result will build a website of information on which group is doing
they have a pilot site Barb A. and Ann Craig ???

we could let each member decide some have already done so
they would need to court the academics to get us back

-the work of ILCSO in creating IDAL, in the forums being
more than just a shared catalog
lets just review and discuss now and set up a strategy for planning
our Directors summit over 40+
many people were new to the organization history important
CCMP as a model even for ILCSO
a grass roots organization -- Ceciles history published
in several professional journals
alphabet soup -- takes time to understand (3 years??)
Jay said this was a good thing
good input from newbies but we need to know who they are

not just numbers but participation
rethinking about what libraries collect and do
all of our individual library reports gather them and
condense them into a statement that could be sent to
all library directors and legislators
manifest destiny: sharing and bring information together

"partnerships" hot topic in all arenas (libraries, higher ed, politics)
ISU less than 10% of collection is used low periodical use
how to identify and meet our top priorities?
dont need to do everything -- each group needs to have some initiatives
but also need to know what others are doing
know what is happening and offer support for these initiatives
coordination of groups -- those that provide resources
set of goals do parts of all of these operationalize them as goals
work on some this year focus
we could volunteer to take responsibility for consortia listserv
could get other "volunteers" from membership not all staff
small schools that cant send members could partipate from
their own sites
